Can anyone identify what model this Carradice is?

Looks like old Carradura stuff - is it nylon or faded canvas?

I have one, but I can't recall the name. Absolutely huge thing!
Great for sleeping bags and bulky clothing.
It is Carradura, and the waterproofing was a coating on the inside which soon peeled off.

If you have lots of seat post and strap it to it directly it is great so long as you don't put any heavy stuff in it. If you have a smaller frame / little set post use it with a rack.

The bag came yesterday. Yes, it's huge. I took the side pockets off. Still huge.

It came with the fittings, bottom right. Not sure if they are a home hack though. It would be best with a support as you said adroit. The waterproofing has peeled inside but it is in great condition structurally, just too big for me (44cm wide x 23cm tall x 21cm deep). If anyone would like to have it by swapping for a smaller Carradice or similar, PM me. It's as long shot, but it'll end up back on ebay if not.

That fitting kit is the saddle support a few generations ago the Carradice made. It was soon discontinued, I had one, and it just disintegrated one day with a fairly full bag. I can't even recall now how it goes together, but you can easily take the bag off when you leave the bike, which is a great idea, but the execution of it was pants.

Doing a 9 day LEJOG in August (staying in Hostels, B&B's, Hotels) and can't decide between the Super C Saddlebag or the Camper Longflap. Will mainly be packing spare clothing, bike parts, camera etc. Like the aesthetic of the Super C better. Anyone had experience with both?

Go with the one that has more pockets

Go for the smallest one.

Big bag will encourage you to pack more than you should.

I am thinking of a super c saddle bad for everyday commuting. 23 litre capacity sounds like enough for most stuff I'll carry with room to pick up groceries on the way home.

What are people's opinions on mounting options? I was thinking about the SQR system but I don't know if it will work with such a big bag. Also are there shops in London that stock them as I'd like to see one before ordering

^^ Depends on how sensitive you are to the bag moving about and brushing against you as ride. Neither of these are a problem for me and so I just hang the bag from the saddle loops and also use the post strap.

Also Condor stock a biggisg range of Carradice.

I had the SQR but found it swingy and that it angled the bag weirdly. I've had the bagman QR for a couple of years now which works for a Barley.

A saddle bag that big and full is horrible, it sways and really influences the bike's handling. I carry one of those tiny folding rucksacks in the saddle bag and when I have to pick up the shopping use it for the stuff I can't get in the saddlebag
The SQR is great if you don't mind the bracket left on the seat post and the slightly naff way they attach the saddlebag to the other bit. It works well enough, but it isn't cutting edge carrying technology.
I use a Nelson and a bagman Q/R saddle support, and I can get a lot of stuff in it, more than I need for a day ride.
I reckon a saddle bag greater than about 12 litres is pointless. Those big bags sway like a drunk when full and flop about when part full.
