Pretty much what Branwen and Bernie said. And it's especially not recommended if it's wet. And yeah 80gi is sort of silly for this ride - nobody wants to be Dr. Wacky Races or Mr. Wiped at 37 Miles In.
But if brakeless peeps are going to come I'd ask that you ride with extra caution (ie space) around others and definitely to descend at the back of the group. If even half the list shows up it will be a large ride so people need to ride accordingly.
