I wouldn't ride breakless, generally, so I might be being pessimistic (and removed the or from my post above). As bruce said, its about control, which should be a lot easier at 70gi than 80gi, if you're confident you can do it then who am I to tell you not to - just that 80gi sounds too much.
I believe Indra did it breakless in the summer with a load of other HHSB peeps
