Our short haired female ginger cat follows us around the house, and as soon as you sit down, will come and sit on you, regardless of what you might be doing (or trying to do!). She is fat and never goes outside, as it seems to scare her too much.
our longer haired tabby male cat will sit on you once a day, usually late evening and have a proper kip, but doesn't want any fuss, he is lithe and is outside for as much time as possible.
