I have H plus Archetype rims. I changed my tyres last week and have had two punctures in as many days after not having one for ages. When I changed the tyres, I noticed that the cheap bike ribbon rimtape wasn't really wide enough for the internal channel so had in places slipped about and creased. I'm wondering if the creasing and moving about is likely to have given me a couple of pinch flats. When changing the first puncture, I looked carefully and couldn't see where anything had gone through the tyre. I inflated the tube and it deflated really slowly through the tiniest of nicks.
So, what new rim tape in what width? Stans? Velox?
