  • Alright stranger? Yep, after a ride he managed to miss...

"You have to be convinced that you are taking the right step and I was not," said Heitinga.

  • Love it. ^^
Sorry. Been busy with life n kid n ting. Hope all's well with you. Sorry... back to the football.
    THFC for the title!!
    .....Of fucking under-achievers

    ahhhhh... nothing changes

  • He looked lost in the championship...

Bit of a strange one because he did the business at Millwall. It's often the case though that these kids struggle to adapt on loan spells far away from their parent club. Chalobah for example has been doing a good job of warming our bench but not much else.

Maybe it was our fluid, quick passing style of football he couldn't adapt to...

btw, do you think you lot will be putting in another cheeky bid for big Wes, or do you think he knows which side his bread's buttered?

  • i simply can't understand how a player comes on with 25 minutes left on the clock, looks knackered and dosnt hussle every ball. i saw Dembele out sprint him to pressure the keeper several times and he'd just played the whole game. Especially when we are being pressured. The only thing he did was hold the ball up and lose it to a throw in almost every time. He can take that 'bit' about him and work it into his 40's in the Ryman. (do they still call it the Ryman?)

You're going up, we're not, so he'd be advised to stay put. Besides which I think he's already come out and said he'd like to sign a new deal, and with the emergence of Jamaal Lascelles since he's been given a run in the side and with Kelvin Wilson as backup, yeah I'd say it's fairly cut and dry that he'll be staying. Not sure exactly why you've left it so long to offer him a new deal?

  • Although our usual M.O. around the transfer window is to make offers for players we either stand no chance of signing (Bale) or don't need (most of them), so who knows.

  • ^^ I wish I knew. No one's been offered a new deal yet, including Pearson. The owners seems to be hedging their bets after last year's slump in form in the new year.

    .

  • I don't think Chelsea will get more than £30m for Mata - not saying he isn't worth more but there isn't the pressure to get his signature. He'll head over to PSG I think - once Lavezzi/Pastore have been dealt with.

  • I don't wanna see him go but we'll get more than £30m for him if he does... Great player, sad day if we do sell him...

  • So you're saying you may get as much as Andy Carroll?

  • If only he was English...
    #madness

  • if Ozil cost £41m then Matas gotta be £30m...

  • wonder who else will be in for Pastore, he's a talent!

  • if Ozil cost £41m then Matas gotta be £30m...

    Typical Gooner rubbish...

  • What's happened with Ozil, is he injured at the moment? Not heard his name mentioned as much as when he arrived

  • yup out for a couple of weeks with a shoulder injury

  • He doesn't have a shoulder injury, he's just being rested.

I'd say that Mata is worth as much as Ozil but I'm just not sure anyone is willing to pay that for him, sure as he'll could all change in the next 30 days

  • wonder who else will be in for Pastore, he's a talent!

He'll head back to Italy is my guess

  • Agree. He'll never be cut out for the top leagues. He's looks like a more languid Riquelme and unfortunately possesses less talent than Juan Roman and was born at the wrong time. The old fashioned number 10 is a throwback in today's game of quick high tempo pressing, passing and counter attacking. Italy with its regressive negative football on the other hand is tailor made for his likes. Little wonder Jose did so well managing there.
