  • Popped into the Raphé this evening, a lady whose name I didn't get was very helpful, and I have discovered that all of my base layers are too large, which is annoying.

At 6'2" I am a Small in base layers, and a Medium in most other things- apart from the Pro Team Jersey, in which I am once more (slightly perplexed) to discover I am a Small.

built like a crap brick house

  • So you're meant to twerk in cleats, right?

  • do you have to reproof the gabba?

I have the capo ripoff (the lombardia) and it's waterproofing wore off after about 4/5 washes. still warm when wet regardless but will probably look into reproofing soon

Not in my experience - the fabric itself is waterproof, it doesn't have a proofing unlike the nano flex.

    Yes according to this: http://castelli-cycling.com/en/products/care/525/

  • Had mine over a year and maybe 15+ washings - still works. You sure they don't just copy pasta that to every waterproof garment they make?

  • Picked some Rapha bits from my parents over Crimbo. Loads of merino accessories. All very nice of course. But the thing that was quite frankly, shockingly good was the pro team jersey. The fit was spot on. Reall hope the PT jacket I just nabbed off EBay (in nodder yellow) has the same fit.

  • Re the refer a friend I think it is disabled during sales periods....

  • Is the brevet jersey thicker than the country Jersey?

It's made of Windstopper® x-lite plus so I'd have a look at what WindStopper have to say about it.

  • OK

    new Rapha Sky skinsuit, discuss

I am never going to watch cycling in hd and I pray to avoid seeing this on a surrey mamil.

  • This summer. Sweating up a hill near you. Coming soon.

  • I doubt they'll sell it to the public, as was mentioned elsewhere.

  • ^^^New Rapha Sky x Lovehoney collaboration coming summer 2014

  • I doubt they'll sell it to the public, as was mentioned elsewhere.

    Thank fuck for that.

  • We all know you want one, so no need to be coy.

  • I'll make it look good. #bigguns #6pack #pecs

  • That's the Attitude.

  • A hirsute chap like myself would look like someone who had Sky, Pinarello and Jaguar tattooed on their body, had subsequently let the hair grow back and was now wearing a black rectangular loin cloth.

It will open up all manner of questions as to where you stop shaving your legs.

  • Went to Rapha to get the PTJ; M was too small and L was too baggy, returned to evans in disappointment and bought this instead:

Similar to PTJ but with GoreTex Windstopper instead of Polartec Softshell and £80 cheaper; although was disappointed that they stopped making the pixel camo version of this. WOULD WEAR.

In my case probably easier to stencil the sponsors on after I'd put it on. If they're going to visible through the fur.

Sportful do some equally great stuff (same company as Castelli?). I loved the look, feel, and price of the No rain jacket.

Like Castelli, you're not allowed to have shoulder muscles or lats, if you want it to fit though. I could barely move my arms in an XXL :(.

  • That sounds like a boast post. Except, at only 168cm tall. Both the No-rain and Gabba fitted like fluoro cocktail dresses. With my arms stuck at 90 degress, because I'd forgotten to remove the hanger.

  • I am Castelli XL generally but in this jacket I was L; 171cm tall; 73kg
