I've got the Nike Flash gillet thing- wore it over Christmas when running down unlit lanes/tracks/old-railways/roads with no pavements around Winchester and it made me extremely visible, which is helpful in those conditions.
However, when it's pissing down my arms get cold, hence thinking that the jacket would be nice.
On the bike I get very cold very easily, when running I'm the opposite- I guess because I run at ~165-170 bpm average, so a warm jacket is not a great idea, but then when it's raining the evaporation tends to wick heat away pretty effectively.
