Thought fuck it and went and bought the karrimor jacket to make me feel better about having a sore foot.
First impressions are relatively meh. The sleeves are really long in all sizes, not really an issue but seems odd. I'm a medium in everything ever but it feels a little tight across the shoulders. Fine for running but would be really annoying on the bike I reckon.
In terms of waterproofiness it looks better than my super thin nike cyclone jacket(which is basically useless in anything more than the lightest of drizzle) but no where near as hefty as my Marmot waterproof. Which is kinda what I wanted really.
Reflective panels seem pretty solid, black panels are much thinner, more like kite material.
It's £45, wasn't expecting miracles but would have felt cheated if I'd paid full price. A quick experiment with a bike light inside shows it's VERY reflective...
