• CN Carbon list 23x50 tubs @ £190 incl postage and £220 for clinchers. At those prices you might as well buy complete wheels. Bargain to be hit for £28 for customs clearance like I was and you might get lucky and get away with it.

You could ask after the lo-flange Novatecs (I'm guessing you mean track), CN Carbon will custom build if they have them or can get them. If you mean road, lo-flange Novatecs are standard.

I haven't ridden the track wheels yet, and won't for at least a week as I crashed and minced my right hand yesterday. They feel perfectly evenly tensioned and are dead true, with the strong 23mm rims I don't anticipate problems. The 38x20.5 tubs I got from Carbonwheels 2011 (Carbon Wheels Express on Ebay) did need some tweaking, but they are MUCH lighter. Either way, if it costs £15 to have them trued and re-tensioned, who cares at these prices? They've done over 1,000 miles trouble-free since.

Cheers for the info! Yes, the novatec lo-flange track hubs was what I meant.

PS: building bikes does not count as regular strenuous exercise nor as one of your 'five a day', if it did I would be 60kg and very fit indeed.....

    Hehe
