i've been given this bike, i know very little about it. All i can find on the frame is 12C stamped on the bottom bracket. Any ideas..?
Nice. Have fun with this Cyclone. Sargent up near Finsury Park has the stronglight extractor you need, in case you cant find one.

Hi,
I've just acquired an old road bike, which is badged as a Condor - and I'm after some help identifying it. I've googled quite a few images but don't recognise anything similar.
It's a light, steel frame but any id badges have been removed or never put on - so I've no idea of the tubesets. The lugs are nothing too ornate and the group is basic (Miche and indexed Suntour) - so it's nothing very special. I'm guessing early 90s?
Any ideas welcome:
Contact Condor directly with the frame numbers and they will tell you what year/model it is.
I've done it before and they are really good at getting back to people with accurate information.

Cheers - the odd thing it I can't find the frame number - there's "R3" stamped on the bottom of the BB shell but no sign of a serial number (though I suppose I could remove the cable guide to see if it's there). I can't find the serial on any other part of the frame neither.

hi - can anyone advise on dating this frame? Not really desperate to know what make it is - although that would be good to know - I just like to know the age, so I can respray it and build it up with age-appropriate parts. Thanks in advance.

I was going to say Fifties/Sixties, but then I spotted the rear derailleur cable guide was on the underneath of the chainstay, so I'd think the Seventies is more likely.
What does the rear OLD measure? I think I'm right in saying the standard increased to 126mm with the introduction of five speed freewheels.

I think your first guess was nearer the mark. That frame wasn't made for modern derailleur gears, those dropouts more likely held a hub gear or some early derailleur like an Osgear.
Unless someone was building such retro frame in the 70's, I'd put the frame more like 1940-50’s or even older.

looks like 40's judging by the headset

Hi, anyone recognise the paintjob on this? Think it belongs to a Belgian/Dutch team from the early 90's. Any help appreciated. -

looks like a Freddie Grubb - Holdsworth. Early 50s? I've got one and the same blue but its 48-49.

Early 50s Freddie Grubb - Holdsworth. I've got an early 48-49 frame in the same blue.

Just heard from Condor - it's a late 80s 531 Italia frame.

Hi, just got this frame in the post, haven't been able to find that much about it, apart from a couple of pages suggesting its from late 90s - early 2000s, its got a Bianchi pantograph stamp on the bottom bracket shell and a bi-ovalised downtube. Does anyone have anymore information about it?
cheers, George

Tried dropping Bianchi an email?

not yet, thought i'd try here first

Thanks Ben,
Gan bikes I've seen were blue and yellow. This one (sorry about the shit pic but full resolution wouldn't load) is a deep purple colour primarily.
And nah, definitely not an Australian team.

I recently bought a Bob Jackson, sadly from my brother who picked it up from a bankruptcy auction. My initial plan was to use it but I think its far too nice a bike for my needs and uses, so I am considering selling it. All I know is it is a Bob Jackson Reynolds 731OS race with a Campag Daytona group set, I have found it difficult to find any information about the frame other than the style of tubing and was hoping some of you may be able to enlighten me further. I would also be interested to know how much some of you think its worth, to help me decide whether it is worth selling or not. Thanks

I picked this Wheeler Ti up last week. I've found a few bits of information on Wheeler as they are still a going concern, but despite emailing their US and German arms I've not been able to find out anything about this frame.
I would imagine that someone esle built their Ti frames and that this model is from the mid to late 90's.
Its 3AL/2.5V Tubing with a steel fork.
Any ideas?

I remember in the early 90's there was a tissot-wheeler pro-team, I'm sure I saw them riding Titanium frames like this
I was living in Germany in the mid-90's and there were a lot of Wheeler road bikes on the racing scene there, seemed to be pretty decent quality Easton Alu frames IIRC.
Seems like info on Ti road frames is pretty thin on the ground a quick Google revealed this - sorry I can't be more help.
Perhaps a dealer would be more interested in providing info
