On the cost front, I would say the Wolf costs us about £120 a year. £100 is on his yearly jabs, £5 for a 5kg bag of kitty biscuits from Tesco every quarter, and any leftovers we care to give him and a bit of raw meat and fish every now and again. The good thing about him being a stray is that he's really not fussy when it comes to food.
I did invest in a microchip cat flat and a 90 day feeder early on, which means we can go on holiday for 10 days, stick a webcam on his feeder and keep an eye on him - he's happy as larry. We could never put him in a cattery - he'd hate the loss of independance.
