That tower was the subject of an amazing documentary a few years ago: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v15428304ghq7yCmC

I seriously recommend it. All 8 episodes completely blew me away.

thanks Luke, on my to-do list. will get started over xmas

  • Is this going to be stuck in Deptford until next year?

  • I' sorry guys I have a job(s) now.

  • Worked it out from the clues but no chance of getting there any time soon.

  • This has gone on too long.

Old: Kids Love Ink - 138 Deptford High St

    New: Railways, Trees and Industry

  • Repped for combatting BTOB inertia

  • Oh alright then...

That funny bendy-girder thing near Stratford station

    same idea...

  • Found it through a bit of googling - but no idea what the clue is.

  • I think the cookie is a specific brand

  • Aaah - it has been moved. I found its previous location - that all makes much more sense.

  • WIll have time to tag on Friday. Given the rate of this thread lately, it may well still be live.

  • Contemplating getting this today. But it's a bit of a ride - possibly in the rain - and falling victim to a tagzump on my last outing has, like, totes given me a complex.

Give it a go. Its stopped raining now....

  • From a lump of twisted metal, outside Maryland Station....

To, er, a lump of twisted metal

  • I feel like I know this wharf but I'm not certain enough. Any chance of a clue that isn't apparent from the photo?

  • It's a very easy google, just chuck into google a description of the whopping great thing the bike is propped up against.

  • Ah, I'm a bit of a grump about clues, I know.

  • Maryland is one of the few places in the UK whose name comes from the States rather than vice versa. Apparently a rich merchant returned to the UK in the mid 1600's from the American colony Maryland, bought land here, built on it and named it Maryland Point.

  • Got it.
But I cannot get to it.
Once you've been there you can slalom your way, away from it....

  • It doesn't cease to baffle me how many tag-worthy places there are in London. It feels as if we'll never run out of them.

    Best city in the world.
    Innit.
    Evah.

But I can't think of one and I was 100 yards away from the current one this evening. I'll be back tomorrow if it hasn't gone and if I can pick something.

I think you'd find something photogenically interesting within 10 minutes (probably less) riding time of the current one - and that's without really looking.
    Just sayin' like.....
