  • I used a paint pen on my old carlton continental. I thought it looked all right at the time. The smoothness of the lugs makes a difference as you use them as a guide. Obviously, start with the BB as it's not visible, other than that it's fairly straight forward.

    Update on putting gears back on my old Carlton...

    Got the frame back from Armortex and spent the day trying to pick out the lugs with Rover touch-up paint from Halfrauds...

    ... some of its ok, some bits not. But from a distance I think it improves the look.

    Struggling replacing the bb... one of the cups just doesnt want to go in:(

    Also ordered new tires and orange cables. Still trying to work out what to do for the bars + brakes.
