• Both, the problem is this is for my gf so everything needs to be so amazingly easy so that she'd actually use it, and also requires next to no prior infrastructure.

    I was going to do a raspberry pi but then that would mean getting a keyboard, and a mouse, and then she'd have to turn it on because leaving it on all the time wouldn't be an option for her, too much hassle for the application.

    Roku seemed liked a good idea, but why spend £60 when the little slimport cable costs £23 or Chromecast costs £35?
