  • What saddle are you using now?

    I've used the following saddles:

Concor (original), Turbo (orgoinal and re-issue), Cinelli Unicanitor (not re-isssue, stripped to plastic), Flite (re-issue), Turbomatic II (original), Brooks B-17 team pro, Kashimax Aero, Kashimax 5 Gold and a Fujita Seamless.

Out of those I've only had problems with the Kashimax's (too hard) and the Concor (50k's in shorts though). I'm currently using a Flite on my CX / all round bike that gets ridden most days (10k's return in shorts / jeans) and 50-60k's (in lycra) with no problems. The only time I ever had problems with blood flow was when the nose of the Unicanitor was pointed slightly up and that was it.

In saying that, it's your junk, which will be different to mine.

Currently using a fairly battered BeOne saddle, long discontinued but it's lightly padded and has a mild cutout towards the rear. This is the best picture I have of it:

Out of interest what was the issue with the Concor, just general discomfort? That was the other option I was considering but have found a black Turbo for good money. How do you rate the Turbos for comfort?

There is a good article on the Cervelo blog about saddles and blood flow etc - from memory it syas that not everyone will need a cut-out saddle but there aren't too many down sides to having one if you don't need it.

Some of it is Women specifc/focussed - but a lot of the principles are the same

    Thanks, checking that out now.
