Any question answered...

Ive just overpaid rent for a flat I've moved out of. My standing order has gone although I'm positive I cancelled it. Bank says they can't do anything. Ive asked the landlord to return it (politely) but what happens if he says no or ignores me? Have I any recourse?

Landlord is obliged to repay overpaid rent but the timescale isn't as short as the return of protected deposits.
