MX? Those white bar things suck imo, I always wind on once with the back open to make sure it takes, and sometimes I put a fold in the end of the leader.

I guess I'll have to start putting a fold in to be safe.

That's what I've been doing, might have to start putting a fold in I guess.We've all done it.

Load film as per owners manual.
Do not press the rewind button, and gently rewind until the slack in the can has been taken up - very gently, to avoid pulling the film off the take-up spool or tearing sprocket holes. Once the slack is taken up, use everything as normal.
The rewind handle should now rotate each time you advance the film, giving confirmation that the film is moving not just the mechanism.
