Pressure is usually 10 of the max at the rear and 10 less than that at the front, which is plenty, I think they're just thin and not designed to have balls shot at them.

used ribmo 700c before, were great indeed

I'm going with 1.1 Ultra Gatorskins next...
BTW Hardshells are BOSS!!!

Just looking at a new front tyre now, really pleased with how my gatorskin has held up, had it since Geneva. I'm just wondering if it's worth moving up from a 1.1 for some more cornering confidence.
Just for the future:
Continental Gatorskin/Ultra Gatorskin
Michelin Wild Run'r
Panaracer RibMo
Schwalbe Durano
Schwalbe Kojak
Maxxis DetonatorAnyone use conti grand prix?

Michelin Wild Run'r advanced light look good if you've got skinnier 26" rims.

This:
The profile makes for awesome cornering though! (RiBMos are great but are often too pricey.)
Ribmo has an aero profile which gives you less surface area while going in s straight line but more contact when you lean in.

I've recently switched from 1.35 kojacs to 1.1 durano and the grip is better, but it still feels a little sketchy cornering at speed. Kojacs are hopeless during winter sessions.
Some facts and figures for 26 options:
-kojac (folding) 1.35 - 295g
-Durano (folding) 1.35 - 395g
-Durano (folding) 1.1 - 260g
-Ribmo (folding) 1.25 - 330g
-Detonator (folding) 1.25 - 265g
-Detonator (wire) 1.25 - 305g
-Wild Run 'R - seems to be only one option with this - 1.4 and the weight is 420g!I'm gonna try some detonators, same weight as the skinny 1.1 duranos but more tyre mass.
Rob, did you get yours from ebay? Can't seem to find any uk sellers of the 26 x 1.25?? -

-WildRun`R Advanced Light 1.1 - 200g/220g according german website. Really light, wonder how they perform.

Think Rob was looking at these:
Should I go for red or white? I'd get black but they are a whole 40g heavier and don't have the softer, grippier outside bit.
Or for slightly more but from the UK... http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=51884&categoryID=1113

Ain't ordered yet but they'll come from Korea or something, I'll find a link. There are some wild run'r advanced light that are 1.1 and 200g.
-

That's the ones, Taiwan but done in Aussie dollars. The UK ones are 40g heavier as they are all one compound, the coloured ones have a slightly grippier coloured section.

gotta get those white ones on my oak!

good summer tyre that!

As for kojak grip, mine have been sweet.
-
• #768
So chan, white or red for mine?
-
• #769
I actually think i need to add more weight to my oak, it's almost too light. The thing flys around the court, but still feels spinny even at my current ratio 36 x 20 with 1.1's. Maybe it's all the running i've been doing hulking up my legs

white all the way mate

Red.
Red.
Red.
I'm watching you.

Put it away.

use chuckers rims

Duranos and Kojaks can usually be found cheaply and (usually) work well. If your Kojak sidewall is taking too much wear you may not have the tyre pressure high enough?
Nik recommends Gators. Personally I go with 1.3 Duranos. It's all good.
