They are KCL students who are coaching 10 year olds about the sport. I didn't ask where the kids are from but I don't see a problem with them using the court at all since most people don't turn up till 7 anyway.

Thats a different matter then.

The first time I saw them I thought they were fairly young but I didn't notice any children. The second time I saw them there they said they were from KCL and they seemed to be university age. From my brief conversation with them I thought they were a league of university students.

hey charlie,
maybe start a list, it helps people who are indecisive (if you have a few people checking if there is a session and are encouraged to add their names to the list it somehow works out (psychoology!) then it'll be clearer if there is a session on or not. )
if you get 6 people (and 6 bikes) you are on; even 4 people (4 bikes) you could do 2 on 2. Less than that, may be not as enjoyable but there are options (like cone in the middle and each player tries to score on the cone - it can be fun).
Anyway, start a list, see how many people are on and take it from there by making a decision if there are enough people by the end of the day :-) (league games should not influence the session - league people will wait until the 2nd court is free for them-they will not take on the court unless the other is free for beginners., so use the court - last week the court was free from 7-9:30 ( spare mallets and a free court were available for beginners to get on with it )

We'll be down playing a league game - so come down, there'll definitely be enough players for a couple of throwins before/after and we'll use court two so as not to get in people's way

so, Charlie just to clarify, it does not look like there are others up for beginners tonight (unless people post after 5pm - worth having another look later);
but you have the option to play with the people turning up for the league game - there are usually a few throw ins before and a few after the game. A league game will take an hour so the rest of the time you could play throw ins with them.
The other option is to motivate more Beginners so you have a Beginners session; then you get the court for the whole evening to play Beginners session. (and the leaugue people will wait for the 2nd court to be free for them to use)

I put this sweet polo bike together at work from some spares- 700c on a 26" Giant frame with carbon forks. Disc tabs front and rear if you want to upgrade (would need new wheels), light, runs smooth. 32x23 gearing, new grips, metal barends etc. Great starter bike... Looking for £120 ONO

Welcome Stephen. Where are you based? There are currently 2 beginners sessions in London - the Tuesday session at Newington Gardens, Harper Road SE1 from 7pm onwards till lights out at 9.30 and Saturday morning at London Fields, E8 from 10 am till 12.30pm.
Otherwise, there are regular sessions every day of the week bar Friday hence feel free to pop by and have a chat or even give it a try. Someone will lend you their bike and mallet.

Hi guys still new to this website group but watched a video about bike polo and really want to get into anyone got any tips on where to get start got a little group of friends in my town that all are interested to so any advice would be welcome thanks.
Says here they have two netball courts of their own.
Might ask Southwark parks manager if they have a policy about university students using their public MUGAs.
