As mentioned in last couple of pages if you backup your phone to Googles servers when you activate a new device it will tfr the backup deets inc passwords to the new device

Sorry- wasn't clear but I was posting in reference to the chat a couple of pages back about backing up to Google and should have said I have a version of android that I think pre-dates this nifty function...
