If I want a bike that works (quite brilliantly I must say) but less customised and heavier that said, much cheaper, I'll get a Hija. But if I want something custom and light, with a frame builder I could ring up, pop by and have a chat then I'll get an Oak. Pricier yeah, but you could literally watch your frame being built if you want (assuming you could get the same day off when Ryan is working on your frame and assuming too you just sit in a corner and not interfere with his work).
I love both, I have no preference for either, if I had the cash I would buy both and test it out, but I dont hence I replaced the Pomp with a Dolan which was the cheapest option. Look at what you want to spend and what you desire from the bike and decide on what best match your budget and needs. No OTP bike would fit as good as a custom, no custom would be cheaper than a OTP, as for lead time, it is irrelevant i.e. tailored suit v. something from Ted Baker, the former requires more work than the later. Don't even get me talking about cost of operation/living...
