What is your main commuting outfit (eg. oldest clothes available, rolled up jeans, suit, lycra/ club kit)
Summer: bamboo t shirt, merino cardie, rohan patterned skirt, leather Mary-janes
Winter: merino jersey (fashion not cycle-specifc), same skirt, merino tights (again fashion not cycle specific), gloves, boots, bobble hat. What are the measures you have take for safety/ comfort (eg. helmet, lights, reflectives, mudguards, toe warmers)
Cycle defensively/assertively, try to interact with drivers as people and negotiate the road. Bike has dynamo lights, bell, mudguards and chainguard, and hub brakes. Very upright bike for comfort, stability at lower speeds, better road visibility and driver interaction. coaster brake so I can indicate and brake at the same time even with something in my hands. Front and rear racks so I don't get a sweaty back. A reflective sash after dark. Carry spare tube, pump, various tools, spare nots and bolts and cable ties. Outfit picked to look like "real person" clothes not cyclesport clothes. Firmly believe that a flowery skirt, a bobble hat and a big smile do more for my safety than a helmet and fluoro.
*How do you amuse/ occupy yourself on your commute (music, imaginary conversations, provoking other road users etc) *
Sing, anticipate traffic, get grumpy about kamikaze mamils.

Summer:Jersey, shorts, gloves (all bike-specific), and I'll usually ride my touring bike which has drops. Looking like a 'proper cyclist'.
Winter: Whatever I've been wearing to work in, but usually jeans, boots, a jumper, and a wool coat. Nodder vest over the top as coat doesn't have any reflectives. Gloves and merino buff to keep me warm. *What are the measures you have take for safety/ comfort (eg. helmet, lights, reflectives, mudguards, toe warmers)*
Cycle training, helmet, lights. Winter bike is Dutch-style because I'm more comfortable on an upright bike when the roads get greasy/icy.
*How do you amuse/ occupy yourself on your commute (music, imaginary conversations, provoking other road users etc) *
Mutter to myself (usually "What's this idiot going to do next?"), look out for nice cafes, try and remember where I left my inhaler.

The skin of my latest victim.*

Closing my eyes and asking the Lord above to guide me through the sinners.

Smearing myself with chocolate mousse generally keeps a smile on the dial. When it gets too cold though, I move to microwavable chocolate puddings.

Lycra bibs, jerseys and soft shell from Aldi. They work and are cheap. Plus I have showers and a locker at work that has my work clothing.
What are the measures you have take for safety/ comfort (eg. helmet, lights, reflectives, mudguards, toe warmers)
Camera on the helmet (best bit of safety kit I've ever bought), One steady front light, one flashing front light. One flashing rear light. For the winter I have a Hump backpack cover that is 95% 3M reflective.
How do you amuse/ occupy yourself on your commute (music, imaginary conversations, provoking other road users etc)
Annoying earworms and checking continually for WAC drivers and idiot cyclists.

Anything less would be madness.

for c. 9 months in the year: t shirt and long shorts, cycling cap and mitts. if more than spitting, a sexy fluoro jacket.
for approximately winter: same jacket regardless of rainfall and when esp cold full-fingered gloves, a buff and long trousers tucked into socks or rolled up.
waterproof overshoes if v wet
shower and get changed at work
stay safe by riding well (everything else is marginal gains) and comfortable by having a bike that fits me and using a mudguard usually
my commute is short and city-centre. it has never crossed my mind that i might need to occupy myself! if i'm riding with my girlfriend or see someone i know then obviously i make conversation. otherwise it has never occurred to me to be bored. besides things relevant to the cycling, I'm most likely to think about what i'm doing that day

sure.. not gonna dispute that .. just saying clothing could be an indicator of attitudes towards the road that's all

I wear nothing, nada, not a stitch.
That way at least I can guarantee the roads will be completely empty.I live for the London Naked Bike Ride.
This post may or may not be true.

Summer : Swrve shorts, padded undershorts, any old t-shirt. Lightweight windproof jacket in bag just in case.
When it gets a little colder, add a fleece top. Or a short sleeve merino base layer depending on what is clean. Plus leg an arm warmers at the ready.
Winter: Full leggings, padded undershorts, waterproof overshorts, waterproof jacket with reflectors. Full length sleeve merino base layer and a fleece if its is cold.
As for the bike, light and reflectors are on bike all year round. In Winter I carry spare batteries and a side lighting.

Whatever I'm wearing to work. Only a three mile commute. In fact whatever I'm wearing is pretty much what I wear on the bike all the time. I've decided 100km is my minimum requirement for any kind of lycra.
My wardrobe is pretty much entirely shorts/skirts/tights and skinny jeans, so everything is reasonanbly suitable for cycling and mostly already oil-stained anyway.
What are the measures you have take for safety/ comfort (eg. helmet, lights, reflectives, mudguards, toe warmers)
Lights, mudguards. Watching people like a hawk. Avoiding idiots. General no nonsensery.
How do you amuse/ occupy yourself on your commute (music, imaginary conversations, provoking other road users etc)
Music music music. Always music. I will make myself late for work waiting for my mp3 player to charge rather than ride without tunes.
