I commuted in them for ages. Might still have them. But I seem to remember blowing a bearing. If I have them I can stick them in the post for you to try. They feel very much like speedplays. The main downside is that the cleat is massive. So your grippy rubber MTB shoe soles turn into ice skates. Plus I found clicking more tricky than my usual crankbros system.
He was riding fixed with his though. Never felt they were up to that, and thats from someone with crank bros on his fixed bike.
