    Cheers for that! Cranks are dated '59 and chainring '62 so fits with the bike being new in 1959 and ridden regularly through the 60's if he had a new chainring after three years(these old steel rings look like they would wear a lot slower than modern ones).

    Cranks appear to be the standard c34 model.

    Looking further on classic lightweights it would appear the Gran Sport mech on there is one of the earliest versions based on the cable adjuster etc. Win.
