Could go over instead of under? I've actually just flipped mine above the brake bridge, and it sits as a much better angle, if maybe a little high:

i shall pop down with the bike at some point and have a look and see if i can bodge it in some how.

So it turns out I've just won an ex-British Cycling Dolan track frame on eBay! I stuck a random bid on twenty mins before the listing ended thinking that someone would inevitably snipe in at the end ... Nope! Paint's a bit chipped (it's a Dolan, go figure) but structurally sound. Feel like I'm betraying my Holdsworth, but hey, I've probably been riding a bastardised conversion long enough to deserve something a bit nicer.

that would look sahweeeeeet with a fresh powdercoat.

Don't paint it. Get it up and running asap!

I'll leave it for now - definitely want to be repping the British Cycling Talent Team for a little bit at least! Plus I can't really afford to paint now, even if it is just a powdercoat. It's a 1 inch headtube though, which is good, as it means I'll be able to take the carbon forks/headset off my road bike, so all I'll have to buy is a cheap/short-ish ahead stem that's got a 26mm clamp so I can use the bars/lever from the Holdsworth. Then everything else should be a simple swap over - same seatpost size, hopefully the right bottom bracket length etc etc.

Oh man that is hawt

Frame is at the Norwich Depot "Ready for delivery" tomorrow. Christmas morning has come early for me this year!

Ahh hurry up!

Arrived! Sizes not quite as expected, poor show from the seller, but will hopefully still fit. Chipped all over, as explained. Brkless/drivetrainless installed for preliminary shots, will be using more compact bars and will sort out saddle angle as and when. Ridiculous clearances when slammed. Need to get to the Dandy/Links asap to get it up and running but both are full with repairs - damn other cyclists getting in the way of my alu dreams!
Also, for anyone interested in pro-cycling, the frame used to belong to current Movistar and ex-Team Sky rider, British Time Trial Champion, Alex Dowsett.

Ohh man, it's awesome. If it's too small you should give it to me, I think everyone will agree

^ Nahh for too big for you. Would suit another forumenger that I can think of though.......
^^Loving the fag paper clearance.

Just don't touch the frame at all!
Got the above from Bike Links, not as good as 'proper' guards, but cheap as chips/free - might be worth having a look?
