Sad news. He had a pretty hard time of it, I think.
I do believe he killed his partner, a mercy killing, but the police and media hounded him until he was forced to change his story.
His view on Northern life was great, telling the other side, not the gritty or grim, but the humorous and touching. He seemed like a really nice bloke,
