  • what is the weight now?

  • Don't have any scales to weigh the bike properly, will probably have to borrow the lbs's scales. I reckon it's around the 7kg mark.

Have one of these winging it's way here so the Fizik Antares with Kium rails is up for grabs if anyone wants it.

Will make a relevant classifieds at some point.

  • john. this weightweenie-stuff is contagious isnt it?

what ild be interested in is weight saving versus cost.
could you elaborate your earlier post with cost? so to get an overview of what are the most efficient budgetwise ways of weightweenie-ing? call it, weightweenie on a budget.

  • Seen this in the flesh in its previous life. Incredible frame! Your a lucky chap!!

  • Received some stuff today.

Some new QR skewers which shaved off a lot more weight than I expected.

    KCNC Titanium Skewers:

    Campagnolo Record Skewers:

how much do you want for your old skewers?

  • Oi, I asked first!

  • And I told him what they typically sell for on eBay ;-)

  • Once you finally build everything up, you'll be disappointed to realised it doesn't feel as light as it sounded.

You are a cock aren't you?

  • You're not the first to suggest that.

  • I'll probably be keeping the skewers I'm afraid.

In other news, I received the saddle. However the rails seem to be too big. The wedge on the seatpost won't go in properly now...

    Is this supposed to happen?

  • new saddle has ovalised carbon rails?
    some seatpost are not compatible.

  • Hmm seems like it. After doing some reading it appears I need the oversized rail clamp kit. Sigh.

  • Damn!!

  • I appreciate that it's about your fit, but your hoods seem so high. Aesthetically, it needs moooooaaarrrr seat post. Rad though. Good wheels too, if not a little thin, rim wise.

  • I think it's just the angle of the bike, the bike was leant on the wall and there' s a slight downward slope. Gonna take it for a spin tomorrow so will get a better photo.

    Tough crowd tonight.

  • This frame has so much potential. Hunterlar must be grilled! In all srsns I said that from the beginning too.

  • 7.54kg with garmin attached. Still have the Fizik Antares 00 to fit so 7.52kg will be about where it will end up. Pretty pleased.

  • Went out on a lovely ride today, bike felt really good. Popped into my favourite bike shop and the guy showed me some really cool Tune stuff:

  • Some photos out and about:

  • Enve oversize rail clamp stuff arrived which meant I could fit my saddle yesterday:

  • This is a lovely motor.

  • Last things to wait for before totally being finished are some speedplay titaniums and trying to justify a pair of these:
