Yup, 130mm, same as the CX9, which was/is a better bike being handmade in the USA, if you can still get one.

TP88, what levers does that bike have? I'm thinking of going TRP Spyre but I believe throw is an issue with older SRAM RED levers.

It's a different bike. Whether it's better depends largely on what you use it for. The Current SuperX has the same geo as the CX9.
The only benefit of US vs. non US 'dale alu is that the former are smoothed in the factory. I suspect the Taiwanese buit frames are both better than dale's late alu output and will last longer.
But yeah if I was racing a CX9 would be a touch rader than a CAADX with cantis.

Yeah I've no problems either and i'm currently on 105.
Soon to be switching to rival as well though!

Anyone got tips for setting up canti brakes properly? I lowered the yoke which seemed to help but they're still pretty shocking... Have burned through the blocks in only a couple of weeks so I'll be getting new ones soon - worth splashing out?

^^ fork judder on the brakes, so says the internet.
I know a few people happy with the rim brake versions.
-
• #2886
Version 2 got carbon forks but version 5 got an alu ones. not sure if that will change anything.
-
• #2887
hmmm. The happy customers I mentioned... they both have carbon forked bikes so can't comment on the 5.0.

Plenty of tips on the 'net. It takes time to set them up, but they are truly awful in the wet. Toe in and as close to the rim as possible I found and only use a decent set. I had TRP EuroX on my CX9 which were good in the dry.
Thanks for the tips on the Spyre brakes.
I'm still undecided on those or the Hy-Rd as they have very mixed reviews on the few I have found and if anyone here has them then that would be a good start. -

Got my first event in December with the new set up at the Wiggle Fallen Leaves. Should be a better result than the CX Sportive I did in March as it's flatter.

And you can pretty much make a new setup after each race or hard training session - half a pad of wornage is to be expected.

shortening the straddle worsen the judding - get the fork mounted cable hanger.

They're not juddering much, just not really stopping. I was going to get one soon anyway though...

^ Good shout. Was trying to work out how they would fit. Doesn't look all that practical on the rear as I wouldn't really want a rack. I'd assume some companies might make something specific maybe?
-
• #2895
its tricky without a rear bridge, someone must have bodged something similar on here?

Seeing that bike with mudguards and a rack on it fills me with a desolate sadness.
-
• #2897
Yep, he bought the wrong bike.
-
• #2898
^ Yeah thus why I was quite set on not using mud guards with this bike.
It always said it didn't come with eyelets so surely them putting them on it they must have reasoned as how they would used no? -

Yes. "The horror, the horror..."

Can't see any harm using a decent CX bike for commuting.
Definitely 130mm.
