I know they'll look good when they're new, but black-that-stays-black means either chinese carbon or Mavic ceramics: £400 for two pairs.
Silver basically means Omega Vs: £150 for two pairs.
That's £250 left over for yachting and cakes!
Cheap carbon clinchers apparently explode on long descents and ceramics are stupidly rare... Omega Vs are even a whopping 8g lighter than the 25mm carbon... just seems better to go with silver and deal with the slight reduction in prettiness.
