it seems as the clocks go back/ autumn arrives and commutes start happening in the dark the number of incidents increase rapidly, people adapt to the new conditions slowly and car drivers don't see bikes quite so clearly ... cyclists lights not quite as bright as they dig old lights out of the cupboard with weak battery's
i don't know if it is possible to chart the frequency of riders down on a graph to see when the highest frequency of incidents happen
it might be worth doing some kind of campaign just before the clocks go back ( or when the most frequent amount of accidents happen ) asking every one to take that little bit more care
