Sorry to be a pain but I am trying to download the route for my Garmin and can't.
I have a Chromebook and Garmin Connect isn't supported (yawn) so I can't connect my Garmin and download it straight on.
I also can't seem to find an option to download to my computer so that I can upload manually onto Garmin. Has someone got the route in GPX/TCX format that they could email to me. Or post a link to here?
Much appreciated... -

That way we don't clog up a busy section of brick lane.
This ride sounds very sensible... are brakeless fixie skidders definitely welcome?

but of course! as many HHSBs as you like, arrospoks, tubs, crabon, trick bikes for barspins, whatever people fancy but if brakless, plz to be considerate in application of whip skids and such malarkey
and remember, a 96" gear was used for a historic Brighton ride, and this route's significantly flatter
I'm sorry if it all sounds a bit sensible - but you've met me, and know I'm well into mental as well as physical middle age

I'm very interested in this ride, not sure about my fitness level for this ride.

^ Which is why I'm not adding myself to the list yet!
Good stuff - was thinking to get in to Paddington Station at 8am, can do earlier if you think we need more than an hour to get to Brick Lane?
No, should be plenty of time. I can't think of a particularly nice route though!

if you don't onow Westminster I'd strongly suggest just putting up with Euston road and pentonville up through angel and down to old street.

Think that's what i'm going to do unless IndraRipper and Husy know a better one.
Really looking forward to this, forecast is looking good too

Here's an alternative - I think it should be the same route - the forum's famous Cambridge ride.
That is another way of riding to Cambridge, and I'm sure it's a nice one, but I feel I ought to mention it's not the route I'm planning to take this Saturday.

Just to check, what Gear Inch of beard would be most suitable? Is a geared beard acceptable?

I think one of those ones with spectacle type attachments over the ears might work, though a headwind could pose a problem.

Brilliant, I've got my phone number on the list so just drop me a text or PM the night before and we can confirm where we're meeting etc .

Seems a bit selfish to kick 9 people off the ride to get yourself on.

The forecast is currently for brilliant sunshine all day, winds of just 2mph. Could be a perfect day out
@Ludd
good idea (Brick Lane polo court). Maybe an idea to edit the opening post.
