going up Clapton Passage?

If so, it'll be the first time I've taken so many people up the Clapton Passage at once.

• #204
Aha, so going up Clapton Passage? All good stuff, Mr Schick!
You can do that--Clarence Road, Clarence Place, Clapton Passage, but you can also stay on Lower Clapton Road.

• #205
OK, that's helpful. That starboard turn into Powerscroft is probably easy enough, as there's a section of road in the middle that shelters in the lee of the islands of the zebra (if that's the correct nautical expression)

If next Saturday's weather is anything like today's we'll be in for a grand day......

I second the Narroway route - happy to lead that part too.
100km today round Hertfordshire - winter riding is the best!*

Ooooh, looks like I've got the weekend off. In. Also, if anybody wants to ride back, I've got a nice big light on the roadie, if someone feels like navigating.... though admittedly, if I do decide to ride back on the roadie, it will be faster than 12mph.

May well ride back, weather and arrival time dependant.

Hi. I would be interested. Wanda says you don't bite and that gears are allowed. I've done diddly squat for the last few months so will bail if I struggle.

Definitely in, but despite having brought it up I'm not sure about riding back since I'm going to have a tiring week (of drinking) and I haven't ridden for ages, if there's a nice group and someone to navigate though I'll probably tag along.

I think I'm a bit closer to you than that, near the North Circ - PMd.
Anyway, there was a feeder ride from Highbury and Islington a few years ago!

Might try to catch the ride at High Beech.

Mrs Currall and Rosie have nothing to fear from me in that case

If you don't mind me tagging along I'll do my best to make it. I'll also get the train down from Cambridge. I'll be in Eagle kit (what else?)

I train on the busway every Saturday morning (I drop my daughter off at CRC, manage to get a loop in up to St Ives, Earith etc, back to CRC and even time for a shower!).
Ridden through dog poo but not had any thrown on me yet. There are some intolerant people - I've come across idiotic pedestrians, cyclists & horse riders. As shame as it's a good piece of roadway for all.

It's not looking too windy on Saturday, temped to bring out some carbon.

Flip this ride looks busy.
I would suggest a fast group intending on there and back/on plastic/gears etc could split off as as we start. Hackney > Epping Forest can be a bit horrid in massive groups.
-
• #224
Yep, I agree, but you never know most forum rides only half of the people actually turns up or drops out last minute...

I'm thinking of catching the train into Paddington and riding to Brick Lane - could do with some company/navigational help if anyone else is leaving from Paddington way?
Aha, so going up Clapton Passage? All good stuff, Mr Schick!
