To be a bit more useful. I find my hips get cold using standard bibs with leg warmers. This doesnt happen with my uber thick DHBs. The Rapha brushed lycra is both a lot thinner, and a lot stretchier. So more comfortable. But they still did the job.

Sadly, the orange winter hat will have to go back. It's a very different orange to the PRJacket, and wouldn't go with it at all.

It is lovely, wore it all day Saturday on a wet ride to Oxford, would have been fine if we didn't have to stop at ***every ***light getting out of London. By the time we stopped for coffee my base layer was dry as it all just breathes out. Ace.

I have a swrv milwaukee and it starts off nice then once you heat up and open the vents it becomes a weird mix of too hot and too cold.

Dont' worry - Ed just doesn't ride fast enough to get hot.

Can anyone comment on the new Winter Jersey? In particular the windproofing capabilities?

Am thinking about getting for my winter setup:
Rapha or Helly Hansen base > winter jersey > wind jacket

I had a LS BL and winter jersey this morning and it was fine. Slightly too warm in fact.

the merino bl are amazing so glad i got one. will be filling my cupboards with them. Size down as they stretch a lot.

Cool thanks, I just got the BLs the other day. Made the transition from Icebreaker to Rapha.

I've found the recent Icebreaker stuff isn't as good as the tees I was buying 4-5 years ago.

Its really tricky to get right at the moment. Turns out it was colder in my flat than it was outside. Had full fingered gloves and a snood! Both were off after half way.

I know. I've been caught out on rides a few times recently. It can be anything from 5 degrees to 14 at the moment.

Don't forget the wind chill factor.
