  • Yeah. Kimi is a very clever man. He was most likely setting himself up for all eventualities. He does have a back problem though (and the car has been getting lower and lower recently). Ferrari probably told him to just get his back sorted and also slipped him a few million just to make it happen. It also means Kimi won't be in breech of contract (medical ground) so would still get paid any more outstading.

    The whole money distribution in F1 is fucked, but so it is in almost every other industry in the World. The difference in prize payout not only depends on Championship position but the history of the team, number of Championships contended etc etc. However, Bernie still gets more $$$ from revenues than all the teams put together!
