Oops too late!! Missed that little post there well ahead of mine!!
How many of us are around Peckham... How come I don't see any of you on my Lewisham rides... It's just a few minutes down the road. (Ladywell Fields meetpoint) -

Got me thinking about stuff in my wardrobe that I no longer wear. I have this very good quality Sugoi winter soft shell. Wore it a few times last winter, but this year, due to drastic boob shrinkage (menopause, I guess, nothing else getting appreciably smaller) it's just too baggy around the chest area. It's marked small and I am a 10/12 35 inch bust, 89cm. I forget exactly how much it was but it wasn't cheap. It looks good as new. The picture is a bit rubbish... Sorry.

Wanted: bike clothes for my other half! She's looking for some bits for commuting over the winter in size 10-12. She'll need gloves/jacket/jersey. Has anyone got any stuff in good condition they want to sell? she only has little hands as she's 5 foot nothing so small gloves would be best.

Gloves, I've been using these and found them cheap and good - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caratti-Track-Mitts-string-back-bike-cycling-gloves-mits-leather-palm-crochet-/190917401532?pt=UK_Cycling_Clothing&var=&hash=item2c73905bbc
I have the small and they are a bit big, they are leather so stretched out a bit. Go XS and then stick some liners under for full coverage.
I've put these under http://www.evanscycles.com/products/oakley/factory-glove-ec033883 and was fine for winter (but I run warm). -

Caz let me have a rummage, although I'm more like a 12-14.
and I have big hands.
I definitely have excess jackets although of the high-vis boil-in-the-bag variety I think - I'll check, anyway might be useful as a stopgap but definitely look for something more comfy! someone was doing 20% of gore recently... Evans, chainreaction or wiggle. I'll see if it's still in my emails. -
• #811
oh! just remembered I have a pair of new pearl izumi shorts - padded liners, tried on over underwear and too small for me. interested? you can 'ave 'em.
-
• #812
Awesome! Yeah it's just stuff to keep her going while the weather gets nastier, if she keeps cycling then she'll buy some 'nice' stuff. When's good to grab the shorts I can give you cash obvs.
-
• #813
I have some padded 3/4 that are non-shiny and non-elasticated round the bottom so good for more casual riding.. they're worn though, don't know if you mind that
-
• #814
Worn is fine! Just looking for some stuff to keep her riding, she's doing really well so far!

• #815
shit caz I been busy... still at work. haven't forgot.

Hey ladies,
Got these sent over by mom from the US, and they are too big :(((((
Tried posting them in the LFGSS classifieds, but realised they're probably only going to fit smaller feet, hence the repost here.US Men's 6
UK Women's 5
EU 38I've only walked in them once to test them out about town. Never been clipped. Pretty much brand new.
Selling for £45, it'd be best if you could try them on first, as the sizing fooled me! Come by London Bike Kitchen Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun afternoon.
Here's a review of them I found online.
I can email you pix if you like, just let me know!
Cheers,
Jenni x -

Any of you lovely ladies have recommendations for winter waterproof cycling jackets in a hiviz/fluoro pink and are comfy? The other half is going to be out in the cold all winter and i have limited experience in how well various brands fit smaller females (she is 5'3" ish jacket normally a 38 i think)...

^ Has she asked for something pink?
I also need recommendations for a good quality, warm, waterproof, hooded winter jacket for wearing both on the bike and for walking. Black, grey or navy only.
I'm getting bored with having to switch between an array of jackets and coats depending on my mode of transport each day. I like my Rapha soft shell but I can't walk the dog or sit outside on a train platform for ages in it. I don't mind getting hot during rides in deep winter. In fact, the toaster the better.

She did indeed ask for pink. .. twasnt just my misogyny at play :) have gone for one of the proviz ones that looka good mix of comfy and very reflective .... Will post update if she likes it. ...

Miss Mouse, have you tried the swrve Milwaukee hoodie? Not sure how small the go, but they seem a pretty warm and not too obviously cycling specific too,for off the bike wear? (I've not actually worn one though...) Good old uniqlo also do some pretty decent & cheap synthetic down type jackets, mine isn't super wind proof, but I like to wear it paired with a light windproof layer for flexibility.

Thanks Socks. I was looking at those last night as it happens. Obviously, when UsingTFS, they come up a lot :) Also quite like the slightly smarter look of their new Deck jacket. I really need to try before buying - does Jim sell them in BC?
Holy shiz it's like Christmas come early for Jeano!
I might take both if that's not too greedy? Live in Peckham myself so can meet up and see what sizing is like if that's alright? :)
