    Anything to be wary of when riding? like strength of tubing/welding etc?

    I'd be worried about any frame that had structural integrity issues regardless of make.
    The guy makes solid alloy frames for all uses. From speedway to CX, so he's got the time and numbers under his hands and I don't doubt he knows what hes doing in terms of craftsmanship and quality control.

    As for ride quality, find someone who owns an alloy frame and go for a ride. Then find someone with a steel frame and ride that. See what you prefer.
    General consensus is alloy is a harsher ride while steel is "springier".
    Someone far more experienced than myself might be able to explain better, but you'll have to ride one or the other to learn its traits.
