I haven't used Linux since Redhat 6 or so. What you just said means almost nothing to me. The thing should work with Windows. Full stop. If it doesn't, it's not fit for purpose and will go back.
Anyway, the piece of shit is working again now. I'm going to keep using the GNex as a backup until I'm sure this thing will work properly.
Two annoying changes: the comma is no longer bottom left, it's a long press of the full stop and the notification bar icons are all white - which in the days of the GNex means no signal as they'd usually be blue when they were communicating.
