    the "winter" in the UK doesn't even come close to the winter in Finland and we don't have issues like sweating palms in - 20c.

    The thing about the UK is it's a couple of small islands so we get a lot of weather - proper cold can be a lot more comfortable than when it is in low single figures in the UK as it is invariably wet and windy with it.

    Possibly not the most extreme low temps but as an example; a friend from Durango Co. was offered a job in Edinburgh when we finished our MSc course but turned it down as he couldn't face a second Scottish winter.

    Are the seams inside the thumb on neoprene gloves comfortable when riding on the hoods? My only reservation about getting a pair.
