Oh but I did, on a custom frame with an expensive wet paint to ensure that it doesn't look thick around the lugs.
It got a handful of chips on it now, first couple of them on the top tube due to certain chemical from a tree that dissolve the paint, some came off because I didn't let it cure for a prolonged period of time (got a big ride a couple months after completion), and the usual wear and tear (chainstay, seatstay from lamp post etc.) but it's quite normal if you use the bicycle daily.
