We acid dipped this frame a few days ago and rubbed it down with 250 grit paper.
This gets all the factory imperfections out. Check out the inners of the brake stoppers, smooth as the rest of the frame. You won't see these parts when it's built up, but you'll know they are there. Devil, detail etc etc
Why acid dip? Frames are getting thinner and thinner each year due to technological advancements and build processes meaning they are very delicate. Acid dipping safely removes the paint leaving just the raw material behind. A smoother finish also means we can lay a very small amount of primer on and thin paint. Thin = durable
