I'm talking neoprene because I've got a range of gloves and in the right circumstances (cold steady downpour) they do a better job than other options. If its cold and dry or just light rain I use a silk liner and madison tempest winter glove.
There's no point thinking one glove can handle every type of winter weather let alone UK to Finland. Your statement is glib and pointless. They are on the market because they have an application.
