I think they adjusted the clearance a bit as people struggled to get 28c and guards on. I certainly wouldn't be able to get anything bigger than my 25cs under.
I'm pretty sure it was just for the red one but I'm not certain. I have the old silver one with sram apex calipers. I think the pads are pretty much at the bottom.
They are pretty quick at replying to emails though so might be worth asking them. I could be spouting rubbish.
