  • Is there a particular advantage to having the DT cable stops up on the head tube? Thin walled tubes compared with the HT?

Usually when they're higher they flow in a similar line as DT cable stops, but these have more of an angle. Is that just a CX thing to give more wheel clearance?

Mine. And i have honestly no idea why they put the stops there. The angle of the wire is kind of annoying.

it looks like less dt clearance if anything, im sure it'd fit pretty big tyres if the cables werent sticking out so much

It's not really an issue clearance wise, but looks weird :)

Cleaner look to the downtube; plus, having a longer open section of inner cable and shorter sections of outer cable improves shifting a bit. They look unusually low on the HT though.

    ht stops eliminate cable rub

    Cable rub is the reason
