Matching Roberts Track and Road bikes

I have never really understood why it is supposed to be 'bad' to put Japanese and Italian parts on the same bike....

Me neither. Probably the same weird romantic notion which suggests that you should drink French wine with French cuisine, etc. as if there was some intrinsic quality which binds them...

And if you're using the old-school Roberts decals, how about an old-school fade job like he used to do? (CNBA finding a good example so here's a Battaglin instead...)
