Dear Mr Adroit
St*ph*n St*c*y has asked me to forward you draft details of a Memorandum we will be giving to all our drivers this week. We find it is more effective to keep any memos simple and brief for them to be understood and read properly by the drivers, I have therefore just simplified the details in your email.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in sending this to you, as I have been away on holiday.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like any further information.
Regards

Re: Overtaking Cyclists
Overtake only when it is safe and legal to do so. You should give cyclists at least as much room as you would when overtaking a car.
DO NOT overtake where you might affect other road users such as where a road narrows, approaching the brow of a hill, or if it would cause others to swerve or slow down.
Don’t follow too closely and pass really wide making sure you don’t cut in too soon. Cyclists are now taught to ride in the centre of their lane, DO NOT hassle cyclists riding like this.
Also stay behind if you are following a cyclist approaching a roundabout or junction and you intend to turn left.
