oh dear, poor cat. Gonna have to give my kitty a big hug right now. Could the driver be legally held responsible? In theory? Not that anyone would be bothered (but they should) following it up, but a life is a life...
I once saw a person when I was a teen and luckily avoided another person got killed by about 20 mins (pop to the shop, everything was fine, on my way back, everything got blocked off), a few years back. Not very nice memory at all... I refused to use that bit of the road for years...
A life is a life... no matter what form...
