  • But I am open to offers of course :)

  • Deserves better photos :)

  • I really think taking photos in natural light, away from that wooden background, and in focus would help you.

The frame's nickel plating looks really nice. Well done. Makes me want to plate something.

    This guy got the bug....

  • Hi thanks for the comments. I have some photos in natural light with an SLR but they were too big to upload I think. Will see what I can do.

  • Good job, looks great. Good luck with the sale...

  • Here's some morepics, managed to reduce the file size. Here is the bike in original condition. Then showing dipped in paint stripper and the forks coming out of the copper plating tank.

  • See what you mean about looking lIke titanium, it looks really good. GLWS

  • It looks great.

  • nickel looks a much nicer finish than chrome

  • Shame about the copper. Nickel looks great.

  • saw in that orange county choppers once
they debated chrome or nickel and they were all very impressed when the nickel plated parts came back very happy with the decision they made

  • It's got to be worth that price, surely - it's a thing of wonder!

  • Most Chrome plated items have underlayers of electroplated copper then electroplated Nickel. It's the Nickel that gives the mirror/gloss finish and electroplated Chrome gives the colour and hardness properties.

  • looks great, i'd have one all in copper! glws

  • that's what I'm doing tomorrow ;)

  • Want to nickel plate my tourer, inc the all the racks, cranks and other bits on there. Would be sweeeet.

  • 2p head badge?

  • how?

  • Quick view at the Peugeot frame and forks I plated today. Once Brasso'd this beast will come up lovely. Otherwise the different colours obtained after handling the copper frame make it a different look.

Still thinking about plating the stem, seat post and crank arms.

    Open to offers on this

  • Just out of interest- does the process fur up the threads at all?

I'd be up for a nickel plated one if I had the cash.
