Is that a massive U-lock on the front?
-
• #4529
No.
It's a trainer.
He's riding to a CX race.

Yeah, what Ed said. Really want something with drops and huge fucking tyres...

I've spec'd an Ogre to be built up sometime next month, really tempted to go fat-front and stick a set of Salsa Woodchippers on it...

• #4533

**Attention functional fans! **
My girlfriend recently fitted mudguards to her bike and was so pleased she made this:
Would anyone be interested in stickers?

Hah! that's awesome! I didn't know Xander is a graphic designer.

Yes.

Need mudguard and saddle aligned and it'll be perfect.

As much as I hate mudguards... spotter's girlfriend repped.

What do you mean? up a bit at the front? Got some Gilles Berthoud stainless mudguards just waiting for the attachments to come in the post.

I hate mudguards and am now resigned to having a wet bottom most of the time in Scotland. I'll take stickers just to remind myself how lovely life could be.

Damn you! I now have an idea.

I've got woodchippers on my ogre, but not sure it was the best idea...... Had to get a very tall short stem to get them comfortable. I think the geo of the ogre makes any drops difficult to get right. That said I'm loving mine now.... Must stop riding it and take some pics!

Depend on how you find it, if it doesn't feel like you're sliding forward on the saddle, stick with it.
If it does, put the nose very very slightly higher until you don't feel like you're sliding forward.

By the way Spotter, it might be worth making the lettering more visible as it's not easy to read without says a black outline.

No bikes from spotter in a while so here we go...
From swedish builder Patrik Tegnér (and I would have posted this one in in porn had I dared):
and a few more:
I'd love to try out a fat bike with drop handlebar, partly because having ridden one, I can't imaging riding with narrower bar on such wide tyre.
