  • Assuming you're on a geared bike. Doesnt the resistance ramp up with wheel speed.

    So you can do a simple climbing session using low cadense, and a high gear. Or a sprint session using an interval timer (egg timer or whatever)

    I meant there is very little in the way of adjustment on the turbo itself. I was in my highest gear (so fastest wheelspeed) and able to spin pretty fast, doubt i'd get much in the way of a hillclimb session out of it.

    This isn't an issue really as the fast - slow- fast fast slow. gave me enough of the change in effort I needed. .

    I'm hoping I can stick to a bit of a regime now I have no excuses.. I stick the turbo outside on the driveway, fire up the ipod and suffer for 45 minutes whilst my kids taunt me through the window. This is not the pretty side of cycling.
